Dru & Christi 5-21-2011

Dru and Christina's ceremony was held at St. Monica's in Creve Coeur. The reception was held at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference center. I wished I could have been behind the camera for their wedding but Joe and Brishen did a great job. I was in attendance with my "creative director" title, it was a great opportunity to watch our photography from another perspective.

Eric and Nicole

I remember Nicole and Eric on a dance floor at a wedding I covered over a year ago. It's pretty easy to spot true love on the dance floor at weddings. When I see it I shoot it. It wasn't long after that they dropped by the studio to book me for their wedding. 

Reverend Jay Kilb performed a great ceremony, as usual. I love working with Jay, he always makes it personal.

We had a blast visiting Soulard Market and the Arch grounds.

Eric brought the microbus for wedding party transportation. Awesome!

Absolutely crazy night on the dancefloor. I think I have more reception pictures than the rest of the entire day. Nicole and Eric chose the 9th Street Abbey for the ceremony and River City Saloon for the reception. Both venues are managed by Patti Long Catering. They provide one coordinator all day for both locations. Thanks, Julia!

me encanta, ich liebe es, c’est tout ce que j’aime, я це люблю, i’m lovin’ it!

We recently had the pleasure of doing some portraits for McDonald’s Academic Excellence Award Recipients. We couldn't stop with "just a portrait", so we loaded up another camera to shoot some alley shots and outdoor with more of a Denash flavor for all the girls to use for Facebook. It was a pleasure meeting these seven intelligent young ladies,  the wonderful McDonalds owners, and everyone involved that makes this program possible.

The ceremony was held at Lucas Park Grill on Washington Avenue, the girls were presents with the scholarships and some great additional gifts to start off their college experience. Congratulations girls!

 

Rowan

Rowan dropped in for his 6 Month session. It's a blast doing the baby's first year sessions, they grow fast! He's full of expression and loves shinny things whether it's my 4x6 reflector or the top of a police car. The large cup was full of gifts from the hospital when they brought him home. It's was a perfect fit.

Jason and Leigh

Jason and Leigh celebrated their wedding and reception at Oliva Hill. Starting out at the Moonrise Hotel in University City was a treat. It's a beautiful place to shoot. We spent some time before the ceremony shooting with Jason and Leigh. Then off to a beautiful ceremony at Oliva... on the Hill. A perfect day and evening. 

AHEM!.... Make-up by Sharon Casey Parker. I haven't had a chance to work with Sharon for a long time. It was great to see her again and as always, a perfect job. Insanely gorgeous!

Yes it was windy!

Two of Leigh's best friends came along to help and were a blast to hang out with. 

The bouquet was from Wildflowers. One of the most unique bouquets I've ever seen.

Jason, Mark Erker from Catering St. Louis and Leigh. Mark's usually around when the venue is Oliva... on the Hill.  People always ask about my favorite venues, this might be it. The inspiration of Italy and vineyards is very evident.

Molly and Mike

Molly and Mike had a beautiful ceremony at the Old Cathedral in Downtown. With plenty of time between the ceremony and the reception and we had time for the pictures on the Arch grounds, Forest Park, and a little chill time at Lucas Park Grill on Washington Ave before heading off to Mad Art in Soulard for the reception.

Lot of memories, old family photos and slideshows. 50 years from now someone might be standing around a wedding reception looking at some of these.

The photos from the Photo Booth at Mad Art were used to create a beautiful signature book. This photo booth is a permanent resident at Mad Art provided by PhotoBoothSTL. (The best photobooths in St. Louis).

Christine and Brad

Christine and Brad had to have had my most windy engagement session ever but when it came time for their weddings, they landed ONE single beautiful day on August 6th.  We started at Christine's parents house where I had fun re-arranging furniture and walking across the freshly watered grass with the dress for a tree shot. But, we did get great pictures. 

The ceremony was held at the Jewel Box in Forest Park and Windows on Washington provided the perfect venue for the Reception. This was one fabulous celebration!  Congratulations!
